Meet Scott

I am a Capricorn. I enjoy long walks on the beach... Just kidding.

My two earliest memories of movies are driving home from E.T. and my grandmother almost falling out of the car and watching Return of the Jedi with a couple friends at the local theatre.

When I was really young, I used to bike up to the area mall to catch movies with my friends.  To this day I don't think my parents ever knew I biked so far away.

I have seen hundreds of movies in theatres and many more on DVD, VHS, Cable and Network TV.  I have tried to catalog all that I have seen in my Netflix account and I am up to 1200.  Every time I go there, I find another 10 or so I forgot I saw.  There are so many more movies whose name I never knew.

There is one movie, whose name I do not remember, about an Australian teacher and her class that are kidnapped by bank robbers.  The kidnappers put them into some type of cave where they have to swim through an underground lake to get away.  If you know what this is, please email me!

I do have a life away from movies as well.  I have been married to Carrie since 2000.  She has been great in supporting my late nights watching and reviewing movies.

I also am a software developer for a bank.  I work on websites when I have time, including this website.  I have no design skills whatsoever, but I do great with databases and backend systems.

For fun, I like to run, bike and read.  I finished my first ever marathon in November 2005.  I compete regularly in local mountain biking races and enjoy road biking. I have a goal of competing in an Iron Man competition, but that is a few years away.

As I said, I like to read books.  I also like to write and have just started writing my first 'Great American Novel'.  I enjoy writing and whether I ever publish my book, I think I will have had a fun time writing it.

Meet Mike

Scott and I created this web site as an outlet for our obsession with movies. I am a Network Engineer for a living, but knew enough about setting up a website to get this started.

What qualifies me to be a movie reviewer? The main reason is my lifelong love affair with movies. But it’s not just loving movies. Even though I am a computer guy, I have a B.A. in Communications from Virginia Tech. My concentrations were in Broadcasting and Filmmaking.

Now more about my life. I have a really cool convertible sports car that most women expect some young stud to be driving. Sorry Ladies, it’s just me!

I am married to a wonderful woman, Martha, and have been for 10 years. Still feels like we were just married though. Also I have a son in college that I am quite proud of.

We just got a couple of cute puppies, and by puppies, I mean young dachshunds. They are really cute and we both spoil them. Did I mention that they are cute?

The other apples of my eye are another set of cute boys. My nephews Jason and Eric. These guys are my touchstone when I’m watching kid’s movies.

I work for a computer networking company, Entec Systems, which solves company’s technology problems. You Got a Problem? We Got a Solution.

In case its not apparent in the reviews, I am a bit of a nerd. The first clue is computer guy for a living. I am very into Science Fiction, comic books and toys. Maybe one day I’ll grow up, but not before its absolutely necessary.

This website is our side project done out of love. If nothing else we get to go to the movies for free!
